Description
This company consists of two properties: one of 5 hectares where there is the ancient homestead and an adjacent one of 6 hectares. It is located on a hill (280 metres) with a panoramic on Rome and the Colli Tuscolani.
It mainly produces Frascati doc superiore, red wine, and olive oil. The Tenimento di Casamara, located in the same place consists of an ancient homestead built in the 1700 on the ruins of a roman vicus of the 1st century dC near the ancient aqueduct Anio Novus. In the garden of this company it is possible to see several ruins. The homestead extends on a surface of 2000 square meters, with an wine cellar of the first years of the 20th century, where the wine is still vinified even if utilizing modern machineries.
There is also a small museum showing tools used in agriculture to cultivate vineyards.
A free tasting room with a fireplace is under construction. It is possible to buy bottled wines, in packages with 3 or 6 bottles, and it is possible to send small quantities abroad. The protected parking areas can host one bus and up to 10 cars. Personnel speak English and French. For a short holiday it is possible to rent small flats.
